What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic medicine focuses on integrating the latest medical research with wisdom of traditional medicinee and using treatments that focus on natural therapies. Naturopathic medicine philosophy is based on searching for the root cause of disease and the body’s natural ability to heal instead of masking the symptoms related to the disease. It emphasizes looking at the body as a whole during diagnosis and treatments. The naturopathic principles as listed on the AANMC are:

-
First, do no harm.
-
The healing power of nature.
-
Identify and treat the causes.
-
Doctor as teacher.
-
Treat the whole person.
